PBS engineering and environmental staff worked with the city and developers to design a roundabout intersection to accommodate the area’s first grocery. PBS provided roadway design service for Royle Road from Hillhurst Road to Pioneer Street, with a portion of Royle Road formally known as S 45th Avenue. This project included traffic engineering analysis of intersection improvements at the existing roundabout at 45th Avenue/ Pioneer Street and a new roundabout at S 45th Avenue/S 3rd Way; street lighting photometric analysis and electrical circuit; and signing and striping design. The southern end of the corridor improvements included the design of a traffic signal at the Royle Road/Hillhurst Road/Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex entrance.
